Thank you for the feedback everyone. I think I will see if I can just keep it clean and see if it stays looking good. If that doesn't work I will paint it with that high temp paint. Thanks again.

If you want to know if it is stainless or not just use a magnet. It will not stick to it if it is stainless. Hope this helps.
