Yep for what it will cost i am going to get a set of trail tech hids i also check with brp and the stater in the x is the same in the non ds so output of the stater should be good to go, i am also going to install brake light at the same time thats one thing i cant beleive is not mandatory on all atvs.

 

Yeah, I understand the whole youth riders not being able to ride at night but as a safety feature, you would think a brake light and daytime running lights would be standard.

So other than the girl in Chile, does anyone else have info on decent updates to improve the engine? I was intrigued by RZRich's info about Beatrice, but he didn't post much more info. Is the engine in the DS90X compatible with the parts that Beatrice sells? Does anyone know who makes the engine? Is it Lifan possibly?

For the record, my son's 08 DS90X has been a fantastic machine. Suspension is like riding on air, power is smooth enough to keep him safe, ergonomics are excellent, stability is also A+. I'm happy with the point that it has gotten him to, but he is ready for more speed. So I'm looking for motor options - stroke & overbore, or replace entirely. Anyone have any suggestions?
