Well went thru grouns and B+ cables cleaned everything. Load tested the battery and it was bad, but it was 3yrs old, it was an oddessy. So I bought a new oddessy battery started right up and ran perfect for a few hrs then just like that the lights dimmed, so I shut if off then tried to start and nothing battery is to dead to turn over again WTF. So now Im chaging the battery to start up ds againt to see if it is the charging system

I think we are back to the rectifier. Cynick mentioned it in a previous post. If the battery isn't charging, it is rare for a stator to go bad. I would buy a new rectifier at this point and go from there.

[img]i/expressions/beer.gif[/img] Your cdi is bad Aceisback had the same problem up at sand mountain utah battery went dead [killed it] run like hell ,drove a hundred miles for a new battery bike run good for 30 minutes, then like poop then fried the new battery some one had an old cdi and a older battery the bike run good. Get you a volt meter,disconnect the positive battery cable put the volt meter between the battery and the positive cable turn on key you will likly see amost a dead short, unplug the cdi box to see if the dead short goes away, if not unplug the voltage reg., then the stator, that it theres nothing left[img]i/expressions/musicnote.gif[/img]
