Default battery and filters

i was just reading a webpage about this water pump seal ( http://faq.f650.com/FAQs/Water_Pump_Seal_Repair_FAQ.htm ) and it said a little bit of white milky stuff on the dipstick can be from cold weather frequent starts not getting hot enough causing condensation. so should i really be worried about this? and what can i do to get rid of whats in there now, just run the engine hot and maybe leave the cap off the resevoir?
