.... just pointing out a pattern, that's all. I dont know specifically what happened to Don. I guess the pattern, or at least parts of it, could be applied to a lot of them. Its easy to get wrapped up in the glory.... then it simply a matter of time, at least for most. I was lucky - dang lucky.

So, what you are saying is that an ATV part or Parts, as remarkable as they can be in the amatuer performance market, was worth it? Dont get me wrong, Im just playing devils advocate here. A cylinder was worth all of that? An exhaust tip was worth all of that? I dont see any character building going on here. Assistance in the ATV land speed world record... was it worth all that I did? Competition so fierce that it turned men into cowards in dark places. Sure, it wasnt all bad. I miss just going to the dunes & BSing with friends. But im not sure it was really worth it. For what? So someone could have something bright and shiney on thier quad or a gadget that gave them 5 more ponies? I guess that can be said about a lot of things in our lives . I guess there are some that need an escape from thier lives - I used to. We go to the dunes, and get away from all of that. Maybe we just brought all of that to the dunes. I guess Im saying, if the reason we go is to escape our lives - that in itself might be telling us something.
Perhaps then, we can really start improving things.
