Tenting it all the way with you Vic, we'll be ruffin it as well. Well, I might be sleeping in the back of my expedition but my buddies will either be in tents or under the stars. The shidders are porta johns placed all around, and there is one right by where we are going to try and camp. The showers are within walking distance right in the middle of the Oasis. I think they are 2 bucks a peice.
There will be plenty of room for everyone. We'll save some space against the tree's for the tenters.

 

How far away from supplies are we?

 

2 towns within 15 minutes of the dunes.

 

What about water? I know that at LS they have spigots for filling small water tanks, etc. Anything like that near where we'll be camping?

 

They have water at the campground so you can fill up there. Your all good.

 

SHIDAMONKEY I'm getting excited!

Even with having to "rough it" I'm chomping at the bit. Going to be old school with all of the tents out there, but with the temps in the lows that are forecast it's going to be some kind of awesome.

 

I'm excited, too, Ace. I've never been to St. A's but I've read and heard that it's "dune Heaven". We're going to have a great time. Keep your fingers crossed for no injuries or breakdowns. This is a hike for me - 664 miles one way - but it's gonna be worth it.
