i went to check the oil tonight to see how dirty it looked from riding the clutch so much while racing and the dipstick was bone dry ! what gives.....it doesnt smoke and runs great maybe slowly burning from all the racing ???? i have no idea !

Did you crank the engine or run it after filling the oil tank? The case needs to fill after a full oil change (case drained). If you did not crank the engine or run it after adding oil the case did not fill, and when you did run it, the oil level dropped. Top it off, I would imagine it should be OK. Do another oil change if you think you ran it super hard.

I used to think the same thing, but **** does happen, just like life in general. A few months ago, during a week long trip in Glamis, my fan somehow came loose and pushed into the back of the radiator, putting several holes in it, and losing most of the coolant. All of this happening was unknown to me, and the red temperature light never came on to warn me. Ended up torching the motor. Guess I need to learn to be more observant about smelling coolant and noticing drips on the sand when we stop for beverage breaks. Ended up buying a used 04 Baja X, and now I have a really nice 03 Viper to raid for parts now and into the future. Expensive lesson learned.
