2002 DS650 - Engine Noise & Probs
I'm not too sure what we can do to it as I know its a proper race spec engine already, have no idea of spec though :-(
It made 79bhp on the dyno 2 months ago and blipped 96mph, on the road it's hit 91mph.
Yeah a litte more torque from a stroker would be nice.... All options we'll have to consider once we know whats going on :-)

2003 can am ds 650 making noise
Hey guys I have the same issue going on, I had the engine rebuilt. Got it home, and now it's making a noise. The oil is very nasty, along with the antifreeze. The guy never changed it or flushed it, and I checked my stator cover to see if it had oil inside as I read it's supposed to be a wet sump. Well it's dry in there, and I can't remove the bleeder screw behind my filter. I used my biggest kobalt screwdriver with a 17mm wrench because it has a nut built into the screwdriver shaft. It doesn't break free at all, but when I do turn it off with the switch off it pushes oil out and then stops. I also noticed my antifreeze lines aren't getting warm, and the fan is constantly on. The oil pressure light don't go off either. All the wires are screwed up on it as well. The previous owner was a complete idiot if that says anything. I got it for a grand thinking it was a great deal, because it ran and drove for the 5 mins I was able to test ride it. I got it home, was driving it for about 15 mins or so and the valve cover gasket blew right out. Then noticed it leaking around the stator cover. So I had a mechanic work on it, and the Cylinder jug, and piston were completely shot. It came with 2 bottom ends because the previous person said they rebuilt it. Didn't notice the wires were all messed up until he took it apart. It was pouring out the day I was picking it up so I didn't do a perfect inspection which was stupid of me I know. But I fell in love with it the first 5 mins of testing it out.
