Eton 90cc has weak spark
#1
I am trying to fix a Eton 90 that has a very weak spark, to weak to start. I have checked all the wiring and switches. Using an analog meter I detect a pulse from the coil on the outside of the flywheel and a negetive pulse ( must reverse leads ) from the two coils inside the flywheel. There is a pulse from the CDI to the coil. I replaced the coil with a junkbox one and there was no change. I changed the spark plug and grounded it directly to the battery, still no change. With my limited knowledge of this machine, everything checks good. I think the operation of something is marginal, but what? The CDI unit might need replacing, if so where can I get one? Any help will be appreicated.
