I was reading on ron wood's website and saw a twist throttle for a ds 650. I was looking into a ds 650 and was seeing the parts for it. Then I saw the twist throttle and wondered if you could actualy do that. If you can are they better than a thumb. Just wandering thanks.

 

Its all about personal taste... but yes you can run a twist on the DS650. I like the thumb.

 

When mine was a single cyl. I ran a half turn twist and loved it, way more comfy than a thumb throttle. But I also grew up riding dirt bikes too.

 

I too prefer the twister play bikes i run 1/2 twist and drag bikes 1/4 twist.

 

first get a feel for how u ride ur bike....i use my handle bars a lot....meaning if u get a twist and are used to riding with ur hands gripping ur bars u may get in a situation that accidentally twist ur trottle cause ur using your handle bars for support...its just what i do thats y i run a thumb on my tm45...
