I have an Outy 400 that keeps blowing regulators. The regulator has been relocated and updated with the 2 plug type. I am now on my 3rd one. The only thing I think could be wrong is the magneto is putting out too much voltage. I checked the output at idle and it was 18 volts AC. The books spes calls out 10-12 volts AC. Does anyone know if this can fry your regulator? Could the stator be bad?
