Default Oil Pressure Switch

Okay here is the deal, either my oil pressure switch is bad or my bulb is blown. It doesn't come on when I turn on the key. Where do I get a replacement bulb for the dash.?Can you get a oil pressure switch from somewhere like Autozone or something like that?

I have never heard of the bulb blowing out, but I guess it could happen. You need to get an OEM oil pressure switch. They cost about $15. You could always install an actual gauge if you wanted, others have done this. If you run with none of the above, you won't know there's a problem until its too late.

I would put money on it that its the oil pressure sensor. If they get wet (like from washing after a ride) its done, and it is VERY common. Most of the old school DS guys carry a couple in their tool box because of this. Replace the sensor.

The closes Bomb dealer is about 75 miles away. Is there any alternative place to get the sensor like Autozone, or NAPA ?

I am pretty sure the switches are specific to the Rotax 650 motor. If you don't want to go the dealer, bikebandit.com has the microfiches you need to order online.
