My wifes 500 Outlannder has a grinding noise when its in park, and it started shifting hard. The drive train noise you always hear on all Outlanders is louder than my 650, its isn't as noisy in low range.
Took it to my dealer they said they checked it out changed the oil and adjested it. It shifts better, but is still noisy. I am thinking it didn't have proper lub in it, causing damage. Now that it has oil in it it shifts better. I think I have a new gear box coming, they want to replace some bearing.
Can any one think of another way this could happen?
What els could be bad in the gear box?
