my dealer said that the shocks are stiffer from the factory.the reason why was that alot of people complained about the suspinsion being to soft.no joke, the shocks were extremely stiff.i would say their 3 times as stiff as on my 2000.maybe it was just this one bike,or at least i hope it was anyway.

I don't know what the deal was, but I was looking at the 01' DS and when we would push the rear grab bar down, the quad would not come back up! Not unless you picked it back up again would it come back up. I don't know, it was brand new, no hours or minutes on it. I'm sure it had to be some kind of setting but it sure was weird. Not ******* the DS, just telling you what happened. I looked at the DS before the Raptor came out, went with the reverse, price and size for me.

shocks also have to be broken in. They get softer after (and you're supposed to flush the oil, and put in new one).
Maybe that's the cause.
Is there any address I could see the black DS? Didn't even know it existed!

How did price become a factor? All the Raptors (at least here in Southern California) are selling for about $8000 OTD, which is more than a DS OTD at list. Are they not in such high demand where you are at?
