anyone else having their clutch slip in like third and fourth when drag racing, not leting off the gas when shifting, i ordered clutch springs from ron woods and billitanium is helping me with a hydrolic clutch cause i know it's gonna pull harder with these springs.

I MIGHT have been experiencing this, but I'm not 100% sure. I've noticed a leveling off of acceleration in upper gears, but part of that is the ignition box. I've been experimenting with jetting as well, so I thought I might have been running too rich or something. The other thing is that I have gone from taller gearing back to stock gearing, and this will reduce the pull in the upper gears. So, like I said, I wondered if the clutch was slipping, but haven't proven it yet. I am running 15W50 Mobil 1 synthetic. If the clutch turns out not to like this oil, I will find an aftermarket clutch. The shop manual says synthetic oil will throw the clutch calibration off, whatever that means. I also had a clutch cable brake on me and the clutch actuator inside the case pop out of it's housing. Maybe I didn't torque the pressure plate properly.

The other strange thing is I don't notice anything unusual in first or second gear with the clutch. I would think that in those gears much more torque is available which would slip the clutch even easier than the upper gears. Also, I didn't notice the clutch cover any hotter than normal. I would expect the cover to become hot and notice an odor from the clutch burning up. But, I have noticed stock DS650's catch up to me and even pass me in a drag race near the end of a 1000 foot drag, which seems odd.

I think I'll but an aftermarket clutch for the turbo.

I just read about clutch slippage on the BMW F650. They said you will notice the slippage in the upper gears first then followed, very gradually, in the lower gears...
