Default DS650 something new?

I got my DDII's yesterday , haven't got a chance to play with them but I did get them put on and it bumped me to just under 6" clearance below my swingarm.

I was running the 24" tires on my bike and they worked great but I am definantly going to look into the 26" becouse of the clearance and better hookup I need all I can get.

Epic came up with the big tire setup a few years back, originally on the DS and then the Renegade.

They were able to run heel guards with the setup as well but I believe they also ran a slightly longer swingarm.

Now for the ride, in desert situations it's magic. It really takes that DS back end kick out because let's face it....the DS is much larger than the 450 class quad....it should have tires that compliment it instead of hampering it.

The DS was not made for MX, so it would be like buying a Can-Am DS 450X MX and racing desert with 18" tires...No sense.

Again this tire setup is not for every bike or every situation, but if you like wide open desert running, it is the best you can get for the 650.

Where can a brother get him some 12" fronts? I figure I'll just go 25-12-9 in the rear using the stock rims but 26-9-12's sure would be a good match...

My thought was for trail riding, some of the trails are pretty rutted and the added clearance below the swing arm would be nice. With my new 22's I'm just under 6" so i'll see how that does.
