Do you have a set of jumper cables? If so, just connect one end of the black one to the negative battery post and the other end to any good looking engine bolt. Do not hook up anything with either end of the red side of the jumper cables.

...is it the regulator, or the ground?...next check the ground...with the jumper cables connected, if it starts charging when you turn it on then you have a ground problem fix all your ground points. If both of these fail, well go after the regulator and maybe the stator, or the plug assy for the regulator.

my # is 602-228-9933 i will be availiable until around 11pm az time today.</end quote></div>

I broke up his post a bit for ya. You already checked the fuses, so I took that part out.

With the Black jumper cable connected, start it and see if the voltage goes up. It should. If it does, you have a ground issue. Refer to AZSand's post (Quoted above).

ALLS YOUR GOING TO DO WITH THE CABLES IS CONNECT THE BLACK CLAMP TO YOUR NEG POST ON YOUR BATTERY AND THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BLACK CABLE TO YOUR MOTOR MAKE DANG SURE IT IS GROUNDED TO CLEAN SHINEY METAL AND THEN START YOUR BIKE AND SEE IF THE BIKE STARTS CHARGING.IF THAT DOSE NOT WORK WE WILL MOVE ON TO TESTING THE PLUGS LIKE WE DISCUSSED THIS AFTERNOON.

Lights can stay off. You want to see it go over 13v.

ok here is what happened....nothng!.....didnt make a difference if i had cables on like i was told or off entirely...stayed at 12v....BUT EVERY ONCE ON A WHILE THE VOLT READER WOULD START TO CLIMB UP TO 13 AND THEN IN A SECOND DROP BACK DOWN TO 12 ..THIS HAPPENED WITH AND WITH OUT CABLES GROUNDING...AND FOR SOME REASON I LOST MY AUX LIGHTS WHEN HIGH BEAMS ARE ON...BATTERY TO LOW MAYBE?
