Fox Floats just arrived
I just wanted to voice my opinion on these shocks. I have a small mx track behind my house and I absolutely love them. They have quicker rebound than the stockers, and they do a little better with body roll in the corners. The light weight helped offset the heavy front end. I have bent shafts and pulled shafts out of the top retainer on stock shocks, but have had no problems whatsoever with the floats. I forget what PSI I have them set to, but it is kind of high. I have maybe 2.5-3" of sag.
I also have experience with Works shocks on a 300EX, and although they are different machines I will say I wasn't pleased with them. The upper springs on the dual rates broke, rebound was too fast, and they were noisy! I would've never expected shocks to be that noisy. Maybe they use a different material in their spring separators now, but back then it was annoying. BTW, they were dual rate A-T steelers with non-adjustable reservoirs. Maybe a higher end model would do better.

is rebound adjustable on the standard floats??
I want to know how they do in the whoops. can't even bother hillshooting if the shocks can't handle the whoops at wot. any of you guys that have them used them in the big dunes yet?</end quote></div>
No rebound or compresion adjustability on the standard Floats, just air pressure. They do seem to be set up just about right to me though, I wouldn't change a thing...
