can anyone tell me the difference in axel hub's between 01 and 05, besides width what i need to know is how many splines on the 05 hub?

 

The splines on the older models are longer than those on the newer models (I think '04 is the breaking point). The newer hubs will fit on the older axles, you need a spacer made to make up the difference. Other than that, the splines are the same.
