Its all a matter of opinion or prefrence. No one persons opinion means more then another. None of them mean anything to the person that owns his OWN machine. I like the ds because it fits my needs, i'm 6 ft 200lbs and eveything seems small. The ds has good power and excellent suspension. Awesome everything, its just an excellently built bike.

The DS650 has been out for a grand total of 13 months and about five days, not two years. It has won more than two races. For example, it won the Parker 400, completely stock, piloted by a 16yr old, about a couple of months after the DS650 came out. It has won other desert races, which along with the dunes, is what it was designed for.

Of course, most of the Raptor has been out for over twelve years. :-0

Yamaha had a baseline vehicle to beat and they couldn't do any better then match it and it wieghs less and has a 7cc advantage, dual carbs, better tires and five valve cylinder head. Go figure.

Give it up and go back to the Yamaloser forum.

hondagye, not only do you have to spam the forum to get your point across, you have to be a total moron to beleive that the Raptor is sooo much better and faster than the DS. I've raced new Banshees, which have tested in the magazines as being about equal to the Raptor and beaten them, with a 100lb. body wieght disadvantage on my part, let alone the 80lbs. of vehicle wieght disadvatage and having stock tires, compared to the Banshees paddle tires. I still beat it. My bike had about five hours on it and was totally stock and this was in the sand.

Give it up. The Raptor may be dead even on a drag race with equal tires and may fit between trees easier, but that's about it. Oh, you can back up when you bottom out, too. :-)

Jimmie
QUOTE "My Raptor was faster in a straight line until I bought a stage 1 kit for my DS". You don't even have room to talk you have First you say My Raptor was faster until I modded my DS.
CRTleech
Your talking about us Raptor owners spamning your forum , why don't you take a look at some of your previous posts B**CHBOY. Oh the DS won a 400 race A COUPLE months after it came out the rider was 16 yrs old. Isn't that illegal? Oh, oh and they won some 'other' desert races--GIMME A BREAK.

You guys are all whacked..When the Raptor first came out it was rated the highest and all the websites and magazines shot down your AWESOME DS650's. Too heavy , it's like a tank. Now another magazine says your DS650 is 1 MPH hour faster and your all up in arms--oh oh see ours is faster. I wish there was some DS's around here so I could race but I live in PA . Why would you want to have a DS around here ??? Oh and that one fellow who supports his DS so much...How come I seen your DS for sale in the classifieds at this website--if it's so good why would you sell it??

No sh*t, I was just seeing if that leech guy was just spouting off anything to support his glorious DS650. Everybody knows about the 16 age limit, geez it's on everyone's quad. So CHILL. Another thing they had to make the shocks larger to support all that weight. No wander it's a better jumper. You probaly gotta go twice as fast to get all that weight up in the air. HA HA HA HA
