Default 2004 Bombadier Outlander 400 HO charging problem

My budy has this quad he put a new battery in last week and now it is dead. There is an almost broken wire that hooks to the battery and the selenoid could it be that or could it be the stator. The quad runs great other than that any help would be appreciated

Replace that wire, check all other connection to and from the battery, and make sure the cables at the terminals are TIGHT...
You wouldnt imagine all the weird and crazy stuff that a loose connection will do on these things..

I would say it is the broken wire.... Or a bad battery... Stators generally are good on these things, but it being an older model, I am not sure...
Start with the broken wire and go from there....

BRP had a problem with the voltage regulater in the 04 Outlanders, first problem it was located in the front, it got to hot, they put it in the back, by the battery, still not good, they have a larger one to replace the one they put in the back, it fixed the problem.

I figured it out it was a wire from the battery to the seleniod, and the main fuse was blown the wheeler charges fine now.
