That is a lot of money, but still cheaper than a stator or regulator. I run a 12bs battery in mine. Its a little smaller than the 15bs thats supposed to go in it, but they are $48 at Wal mart.

i wasn't going to mention it, but since justme brought it up. i also bought a wallmart battery. but i went with a bigger battery 20 instead of 15 . it gets hard to start in the cold. it was just a little taller. got the everstart max. for 70 $. modded my batt box, to fit . works great, and easy to replace, the regular version was around 45$

I was going to do that, but I was too lazy to modify my battery box. So far, the 12BS's have had plenty of power. One of my DS's even came with a BS9 in it. I left it in there, since it works ok. But I'll replace it as soon as it fails to start once.

yea it was def the battery. i took the ds out on fri and sat for about 4 hours each day and no problems other than when i was at wide open the ds kinda hesitated/stumbled. i have a ron woods cdi and i dont think i was revving to high. never did this before but im thinking i may need to replace the o rings on my exhaust. took it off the other day to replace a gaskett. but other than that it ran like a champ.

When mine developed a stumble at high RMP's, it was a bad diaphram in the carburetor. It was leaking vacuum, & not lifting the throttle slide like it should.

yea still having issues with the atv, sigh. ok so at wide open its still cutting out. i checked the carb. pulled it all apart and dont see anything wrong with it. i changed the plugs and its still doing it. could it be a dirty filter? i just cleaned it about 3 rides ago. its a k&n. i run with no lid on the box. im at a loss and am tired of getting beat by my bro's raptor 350 because im cutting out lol. please help. tomorrow i guess i pull the filter and make a few runs to see if it clears up some.

put the box lid back on.....the stock carb is a vaccum slide and it needs the box lid to open properly.
