Little help here from some of the more experienced quad guys, I was a motorcross rider in another life so the quad raceing is really new to me. I am in the market to get new tires for my 05 DS 650 BajaX. I primarily desert ride but am getting into the desert racing, (Have raced the Parker 250, and Vulture Mine 150) and am entered in the Vegas to Reno 1000 mile race. I am looking for ideas on the best setup for tires. I have the bead lock fronts but the previous owner sold the rear bead locks so I have some stock rims on it. I am wondering if I should get the ITP, Maxxis or ??? tires... Which would be the best bet. I am running the Havasu GP this coming weekend so Im looking to get something now... After brand names which sizes, I was thinking 22's on the back and 23's on the front but should I get 22x11 or what? I have been told to defineitely get 6-ply tires. Any input would help me alot.

 

I know this is a little old, but I went with ITP 22" XCT rear with 23 HD fronts on baja wheels for my desert set up.

You could also go with Maxxis Razr setup in a 22" rear 23" front.

I have the Holeshots HD 6plys 22"x11x9" with DWT beadlocks rears, and

23"x7x10" DWT beadlocks fronts they're all 6 ply. But they don't have

that look Maxxis look really rough, and rugged looking. I hear nothing,

But good news about these tire. The price can be a challenge especially
