This rest of your arguement just proves you have no experience with a Can Am and are chasing ghosts.
Chasing ghosts? Whatever you say Cardiac. The rest of my argument is based on fact. I stated the hp issue was "speculation", and the speculation is that Can-Am manipulates hp #'s in order to claim the "highest hp in the industry", they probably wouldn't be the first manufacturer that did it. The Grizzly with EPS has plenty of feel through the bars at higher speeds. Dry weights are published on manufacturer websites. It is common knowledge and fact that Can-Am has a weak frame that is easily subject to denting and buckling upon impact, a frame mod and aftermarket skids are mandatory. All manufacturers have their pros and cons, I like Can-Am and own other BRP products, but won't buy Can-Am as dealers in my area don't budge much from from MSRP and are too expensive. Combined with the fact that you'll need to spend more to strenghthen the frame because the manufacturer won't? A very strange thing that wouldn't have to be done with any other manufacturer. 2010 Can-Ams have gone up $1200 here, I could easily get a 850XP with PS for $2500 less, a machine every bit as good and powerful as the Can-Am 800... a matter of principle to me, but each to their own.

Fact or speculation? Which is it. You are not the only person who has never owned a Can Am that spouts expert opinion. Yes there have been frame issues on Can Am's. There are also major frame issues on King Quads and Grizzly's. The percentage is so small it is a non issue, most all are attributed to crashes. When you are at the top of the pecking order, wanna be's take pot shots. Sorry your dealer is so pig headed. It has cost you the chance to ride a great high performance utility quad.

What part are you not understanding? I said the hp issue was speculation, the rest was fact. Let me know what language you communicate in and I'll give it a whirl. Any frame issues on a King Quad or Grizzly would be miniscule in comparison to Can-Am's glaring weakness. I find it comical when someone points out an obvious deficiency with a Can-Am and the diehard response is always... "ya well we're the best and your just jealous"... stupidest thing I ever heard. I've got news for you, Can-Am has never been at the top of the pecking order, and I'm certainly not a Can-Am "wannabe". I'm also not sorry the prices are so high, I've ridden both Can-Am and Polaris and if I want a high performance utility quad it'll be the 850XP.

To each his own. Those that have had both or ridden both don't need your or my opinion, they just know. And take a gander at the major Suzuki forum and tell me the King Quad frame issue is miniscule. And if you are so much an expert, give me the forum names of more than 10 persons that have had frame issues with a Renegade or Outlander. And I am not talking about all the "well, my buddies frame" or "I know a guy whose frame.....". It just is not all you make it out to be. I have over 6000 miles of trails and rock gardens on my Outlander. The frame is still there, carring me with loads of power and quess what, no damage. I do have skids as all quads that do rocks and trails should have. I believe the Can Am's from 09 up come with factory skids. And I hope you enjoy your Grizz 700 and Popo 800. I wouldn't trade either, or even both, for my Outlander. And unless you are just dumb and blind, the Can Ams are the best of the best and have been for a couple of years. Not taking anything from the 850 XP, it is a nice machine, just not the best.

Best of the best... LOL! Where, in Cardiac's drug induced hazey yellow world?? Speaking of dumb and blind, must be quite the view you have from behind your yellow blinders, a typical diahard Can-Am response. The Can-Am camp will always claim lack of issues, but the facts are clear, the frame is weak and has problems, I'll find you 10 posts in 10 minutes from various forums that report frame issues. Say what you want about the King Quad and Grizzly frames but I'll bet they won't buckle after hitting a tree at 5 mph. Polaris/Yammie also have their issues but I don't shed tears when someone points them out. Yes each to their own, I do enjoy my Grizz and PoPo, and wouldn't trade EITHER one for your Can-Am. In fact, I chose the PoPo over the Outty when it came down to buying after riding them both. Can-Am truly has some good things going for them, but was curious as to just what exactly is Can-Am the best at?? Their only real claim to fame was power, and they haven't been the fastest since the T-Cat came out a few years ago, and then the 850. The 850 has already won ATV of the year in some publications with I imagine more to follow. I don't remember hearing about Can-Am ever winning an ATV shootout or any other kind of award in comparison to other manufacturers. But of course it must all be BS as "advertisement" dollars always dictate who wins, especially when Can-Am doesn't come out on top. lol Have a nice day.

I started to read your garbage and decided not to prolong this. Much to your chagrin, you may like to know that this is a Can Am forum and it has done quite well without your 'expert' opinion. I really think we can continue to do fine without your 'help'. Go lurk in the Popo section and if anyone here needs a refresher course in 'wanna be' discourses, they will know were to find you. Sorry bud, but you are way off base in the wrong ball park....

I actually ride both 2009 CanAm and Polaris and I feel the XPs are better in most conditions. 2010 who knows yet.

I appreciate your input. It is nice to hear from someone who has experience on both. What year Outlander did you have? Was it an 800? Allways looking for a better ride. What part of the XP do you like? The ride, handling, rock crawling, acceleration, engine braking? Have you been on a 2010 Can Am yet? I have heard of a few people that have the XP and it is a good machine. Still my opinion that the 2010 Can Am's are better, but we all have opinions.
