Review of the 2010 Outlander 800R
#31
Just FYI, I scaled the bumpers and winch off an 06 I had, they weigh about 62 pounds, not sure what the DPS unit adds to that. I had my 09 800R on the scales with 26" Bighorns and ITP T-7s, it weighed about 800 pounds.
Here some weights of several quads that we have taken actual trail ready weights from, for comparison.
#1 - Can-am Outlander 800R XT = 776 Lbs
26" Bighorns / Less the XT bumpers
#2 - Kawasaki Brute force = 777 Lbs
winch/skids/radio/cast wheels / 26" terra cross tires
#3 - Yamaha Grizz 700 W/EPS = 792 Lbs
Cast wheels/ 25" Bighorn Tires / Winch / Skids
#4 - Polaris Sportsman 850 XP W/EPS = 832 Lbs
Bone stock
#5 - Polaris Sportsman 800 X2 = 930 Lbs
26" Bighorns / front cargo box full of misc cargo est. (25 Lbs of cargo in front box)

Anyway, I''m picking up my machine in a couple of days and the first thing I install are the Ricochet skid plates. I'm hoping this machine accelerates like the Sportsman did, and even better at that
