starting and running issues, sometimes
Last year i bought a 2007 outlander 500 EFI used. Its only got 550 miles on it right now. When ever i go to start it sometimes it wont start. If i give a little gas it will start up and run but don't run very well (its EFI so i shouldnt have to give it gas). Its Almost like its running on one cylinder. Here's what i've noticed: if i'm riding and i stop and shut the bike off and the instrument panel lights stay on for the 20-30 seconds that they should,as well as the tail light, then the next time i try to start the bike it will start right up without any issues and idle perfect, but once in a while when i turn the key off and i notice the instrument panel lights go off when i turn the key off, then the next time i try to start the bike it wont unless i give it some gas.. Even then, like i said before,it wont run right, almost like its on one cylinder again. Now when its running like that,if i just get on the atv and go,it will run fine till i slow down or come to a stop. Then it dies and has trouble starting again. Its aggravating and i cant figure it out because it wont do it all the time. Sometimes it does it while sitting for weeks and sometimes it wont after sitting for weeks. For the record,it does not see deep mud at all. This is my wifes bike and is ran slow on trails. well 20 mph tops. Thanks in advance. im kinda guessing an injector problem, possibly with the electronic part.
