quick carb question

Default quick carb question

need new carb for 2004 ds 650...if anyone has one let me know but not why i posted...will one off a 2001 ds 650 fit my 2004..a brand new one on ebay for sale..

They will interchange with no problems at all. 03 and newer had the shorter spring and don't have to be clipped for the OMR mods.
Welcome back, haven't seen you around in forever. Glad you're still in the game.

yeah..good to be back..had ds completely re wired last april.. so far so good then carb started acting up probably from sitting for yrs..popping and gas leaking out..i just bought an omr modded card from an 05 on friday from someone on forum..should go nice with my filter and endcap (ondunes old school), you think i should send out to get intake ported?...

any power gains to be had with ported intakes?im kinda skeptical but might show a 1/8hp at top end,any testing to read up on this mod?

i just put a 42mm keihin from a honda trx450r on my ds yesterday.was thinking it should be a superior carb with the ap circuit than a modded stock one.I bought a dyno jet kit for mine and once i took it off i just couldnt bring myself to put it back on,a cv carb and performance just dont go hand in hand.who knows i may modd it and give it a shot since i paid $50 for the jet kit..
