How reliable are these new Can-Ams I have a new Ski-Doo and those Can-Ams look sweet . Would one if bought new be as reliable as my 500 Polaris like are they problem free . I do high miles 9000 miles so far on my 2008 500 popo would I get the same kind of reliability like never taking it back to the dealer like I get now . All I want to do is my regular maintance don't want to see any dash codes or sensor problems ever . Or am i dreaming ? My Polaris has been problem free rock solid reliable . O I like to get 100 miles to a tank is that possible ?

My son's Renegade 500 has been trouble free other than a tough to find leak in a tire. It gets better gas mileage than my 500 Sportsman X2 and has more top end. My X2 has better torque in the low speeds from what I can see. Renegade has a great sounding engine too. The only thing I find about CanAms is that the frame is on the weak side. We added a frame insert because we crawl over all sorts of downed trees and granite rocks. Either that or a good quality skid plate package will take care of the frame issue in my mind.

well, to add to what moose said above... I've owned many can-am's and all of them have been very reliable. Never had one leave me stranded or any major failures.

But anything will fail if you beat it.

Thanks I don't beat on them just don't want problems and extra costs but that BRP would look good sitting beside the other I'd go with the 800's tho I assume there just as reliable .
