It all started when I jump started my d s 650 with a car battery. It ran great till I disconnected the the.cables. the second I took the cables off.the quad shut off and will not start again. I'm getting zero spark and I have checked the fuses and replaced the spark plugs. I have no idea what it could be. Please help!!

 

it is not possible for the DS to run with a bad battery.
it will stay running if it has a good battery that is just too low to crank the starter motor, but if the battery is no good meaning bad cell then it is not possible for the DS to run.

 

But the battery will crank the ds with no problem. Could the battery still be it

 

oh I see, no if the battery is cranking the motor its okay,

if no spark and you already changed plugs and checked connections at coils and such then you may have a fried CDI box, its on the front left side of the frame, you can see the bottom half of it sticking out from under the tank cover. ideally you would have access to a buddy's to swap it real quick and see if that's it before buying a new one.
