450r carb...best mod i did,havent looked back...just sayin....

 

For the DS-650 tho? YOu mean put the carb off 450r on to the DS? sorry if i wasnt following you...

 

yeah i put the carb off a trx450r on my ds650.Some have used the mikuni tm series flat slide on the ds but i didnt want to use the street bike carb.Theres a reason the big 4 went to the keihin carb for high performance applications.Both are better than the cv carb thats stock on the ds.Go through ur carb and make sure its clean and the rubber diaphram isnt ripped in the carb top.

 

I had a similar problem a long time ago with mine. Found out the choke was stuck and was fouling out the plugs.

Check out the snorkel to make sure it’s not clogged up with debris or something. Sounds like your cutting off your air supply to it.
