3TV,
I am using the CT pipe. I like the performance alot. The fit and finish is pretty weak though. They chrome the pipe so poorly that it flaked off and it leaks at every joint but the head. I am not bashing, it is still on my DS, as it has been for about six months. It may look like crap, but it runs liked a raped ape and that's really all I care about. It ain't no show bike, but it rocks!

MAN I COULD NOT STAND THAT! AFTER YOU PAY 300.00 OR MORE OF YOUR HARD EARN MONEY ON A EXHAUST SYSTEM!THESE SYSTEMS SHOULD BE BETTER THAN THAT!I MEAN IF I BOUGHT TV AND THE BUTTONS STARTED FALLING OFF OR MYBE YOU STARTED GETTING CRACKS ON THE PLASTIC AFTER A COUPLE OF WEEKS. I WOULD TAKE IT BACK! I WOULD NOT SAY YAH MY TVS BUTTONS ARE FALLING OFF AND THE PLASTIC BROKE BUT SHE STILL HAS GO GOOD COLOR! AS LONG AS THE COLORS GOOD THAT ALL THAT MATTERS. IM GLAD YOU LIKE YOUR PIPE BUT FOR ME I DEMAND TO GET WHAT I PAY FOR!!!!

sand45,
I agree with your analogy, to a point. It is very frustrating when you spend good money on a product and get less than you expected. But in my case what I truly wanted was the performance, and that much I got. If it is pleasing to look at, that's a nice added benefit, to me, but not the purpose of the purchase.

If it was falling off or rattling, I would have a diferent opinion. When I read of other's experiences with other pipes it seems my options for a superior product is somewhat limited. Manufacturer claims are nice but without dyno charts to back them up they are simply that, claims.

I certainly respect your opinion and do believe that manufacturers should be held accountable for the quality of their products when it is important to you. It just wasn't important to me.
