ALL,

Just got off the phone with Mike a Rep from Big Gun. He addressed my issues and now I'm happy. It was never a concern with power gains with the bolt-on but a customer service issue. Mike has now shown ME that Big Gun will bend over backwards to please their customers.

To you Mike, I thank you.

Agreed, it might help to remind us what happened and even what they did for you. I'm still in the market for a pipe, information like this would help a decision one way or the other.

I totally agree I have a big gun complete on my 400ex and Mike has been wonderful. I have had problems with mine leaking. It's probably been one of my best experiences with aftermarket parts.

The issue were:

1 - Coating Flaking Off
2 - Screen Blew apart in the muffler
3 - Packing coming out from the muffler
4 - Springs vibrate a mid rpms

The Fix:

1 - Sending the header off for recoating, shipping paid for by Big Gun. This was only in the first couple of batches. Problem has been resolved in later mfg process.

2 - Heavier gage screen being shipped with the pipes, been tested not to burn & blow out.

3 - Sending me a replacement packing

4 - No fix for this, after a couple of rides I can nolonger hear it unless I listen real hard.

What makes this a good customer service call is the way Mike handled this and addressed my questions. Not blaming the customer, no passing the buck, just an honest anwser & "What can I do to make you happy".

Oh ya, while I'm brown nosing..... Can I get one of those Big Gun Girls to stop by and wash my quad for me?

I disagree. You will continue to have the same problems, and there will be long delays between the first piece of junk, and the second piece of junk, and the third, etc.
