Default My first Can-Am... And...

I just bought a 2013 Can-am XMR!!! It is pretty much brand new, only 165 miles and this thing is awesome!
Now for the bad part, as stated before I purchased this used and the warrantee is over. One would think at 165 miles there would be no issues... I have a plow on it and with a late Minnesota show fall gave me the chance to use it for the first time. With that I got about half my driveway clean and the winch quit :-( I am a little frustrated and don't know what going on. Fuses are good, and wiring is tight and battery is good... Any ideas???

IQ, is the winch a Warn or some other brand? Warn is pretty helpful. Warn Industries - Contact Us is where you can ask them about the problem. I think they have a troubleshooting drill down list but, for the life of me, can't find it. Personally, I think it might be in the handlebar switch. Had an issue with a Warn 2500 lb. on my son's, at the time, Polaris ATP 500 and that's what it turned out to be. Hope this helps.

or a bad solenoid. Also make sure you're not by chance in free spool operation.

I was thinking the same thing Moose, it's not in free wheel mode, I checked that, as for the solenoid, that would be my second guess. I will have to call up customer support and see if I can walk through some trouble shooting... I have the aux plug on the side and that didn't work either. Hope it's nothing to major, that sun of a bitch is really packed in there!

That, right there, is one of my main gripes about the way Can-Am has the winch. It's buried. So, if you break your line when plowing it's a half hour or more to get in there to pull the line out. Like how Polaris did the winch much better.
