eight-valve, liquid-cooled SOHC Rotax 500 V-Twin,
Like I said same motor and 46mm efi it always had, just curious way they claim 46hp rather then 40hp like in the past.

Maybe they did a compression ratio change or something.

But you have to admit a 46hp 500 4x4 sounds more fun then the Honda 28hp 500 4x4
Rotax (Austrian) do not make lemon motors. I have and had a lot of them over the years in sleds.

Of the 4x4 quads out there the Outlander and Renegade 500's are probably the most fun. They do have the most HP per cc over their rivals. I haven't heard too much negative about the Can-Ams they are building now. Before 2012 they had some frame issues but I think they've taken care of that with the newer generation frames after 2012. Best bet is if you can take them all for a test ride and see what you like.

I would chose a Can-AM you just do not hear about many problems with them.

I think they had problems early on with the 850 but have got them dialed in now.

The best bang for your buck would probably be a Polaris Sportsman 570. I've seen them for sale brand new in the $6000 range.
