For those that have ridden the Quest:

What's the weight like on this beasty? I've heard it on the heavy side.

What's the stability like, folks are saying the new Griz is a bit tippy with IRS.

FYI... Just spoke to my dealer up here. Apparently there is $650 (CND) cash back on these for August. His demo should be in next week and I've arranged for a bush ride - Will report in after.

I was told I could get the Quest XT for $9,450 ,with the $650 rebate.
I paid $50 less for my Traxter XT a year ago. Not a bad deal. Like to trade but I would eat it on a trade in. I think I'll keep the Traxter one more year, been a great bike anyways.

I have the 99 Traxter and love it.
It has won both moving weight sled ATV pulling contests we have had, but Im getting smitten with this 650 Quest thing, Ive gotten a copy of the VCR tape from the dealer about the features, ease of removing engine, and parts that are much harder to remove on the Traxter series.
Anyway I guess Im gonna have to try one.
Listening / Reading here for Pro / Con dope from Quest owners,

Can you make the belt slip /squeal / chatter ?
Does deep water stop it ?

We all know models that suffer greatly from such conditions.

Thanks

You guys that have seen the Quest. How high (location) and where are the vent(s) for the belt housing. I have had three machines with belt drive, Polaris Xplorer, Yamaha Grizzly and Arctic Cat 500 ... I have managed to get mud along with water in my clutch. If I was only getting the belt wet fine, but when mud gets in the clutch it makes for a crappy day on the trail.

I agree, Mike. Being a Polaris owner, I have concerns about owning another belt-drive. Anyone have a chance to take a Quest through deep water or mud?
