I recently broke the schrader valve off the rear shock resovoir from a large jump. I've tried everywhere to find a replacement, my dealer says I have to order a new shock body to get one and that's bull S#$%, I was hoping someone could help me out on how to get a hold of customer service so I can get a hold of a new one.

Have you checked eBay for a used one for a good price? How about using this as a good excuse to go with an aftermarket unit, people are always raving about how wonderful the aftermarket shocks are anyhow. Otherwise, you could likely call the Customer Service number in the user's manual. I don't have mine in front of me, but there is definatly one in there. Word of warning though, factory replacement parts (if out of warranty) tend to cost more than better performing aftermarket parts. For example on my 1987 Kawi Mojave, they want something like $700 for the factory rear shock, I am confident I could get an aftermarket one for somewhat less than that. To that end, I haven't replaced it yet.. Gotta have more money for the DS right now.

DSracer,
You may be able to drill out and rethread the hole from the broken valve and install a generic threaded schrader from, say, Pep Boys or your favorate part store. Its commonly used in air conditioning systems or some air filled applications. Just be sure to seal the new valve real well when installing it so that the nitrogen doesn't leak back out. Total cost for a drill bit, tap and valve is aprox. 20.00. Much cheaper than the alternative. Good luck

DSracer check with the people at PEP and TCS to see how much for a rebuild and repair. You will get a better Shock back.

CALDS650's idea is probably the best of all, since most people instead of replacing the rear shock get it professionally rebuilt. Which costs a lot less than a new shock, and I would imagine performs better if rebuilt by one of the aforementioned companies.
