Give the Raptor it's due. It has won two desert races the BITD Tonpah 300 and the Score San Felipe 250. And the King of the Desert in Australia the only DS650 entered was second They only listed riders and I had to check the entry list the winner was on a Yamaha.

 

With only half the field finishing the race I am sure there were several DS's that didn't finish the event either. In fact it looks like the only reason the DS won is because the Raptor broke.
In addition I wonder how many DS's there were compared to Raptor's. I mean if there were 7 Raptor's and 40 DS's then the odds are pretty high. I am not taking anything away from the DS they won and survived which sounds like an accomplishment in itself but I don't believe that there is enough information to say one model is better than the other.

For your info YamaGod in the last race the field was about 1/3 DS650, 1/3 Banshee's and 1/3 Raptor. The odd part no Honda's. There was one race early in the year 7 raptors to one DS650 the DS was first but I think it might be the rider helps a lot cause he wins a lot.
