Can anyone tell me if they have a 52 Gallon Spray Tank for their XL and if so is this machine stable, fully loaded, on extreme slopes?

I can not imagine any quad that would be stable with 52 gallons of fluid, plus a rider, plus any other needed gear, on extreme slopes. As a matter of fact, I don't believe there are any traditional ATV's out there that are even rated for that much weight. You would have to look at something like the Kawasaki Mule, or Polaris and Arctic Cat have similar velicles. Smaller than a truck, but larger than a traditional ATV.

Good luck on your search for the right equipment.

Knutz,
Thanks for your comments. The Traxter XL is rated to carry 600 lbs and the Bob Davis review stated that they loaded it with a static load and headed up some steep hills and it proved to be exceptionably stable. I am trying to get some info from the real world to confirm this and preferably find someone who has mounted a liquid load onto their XL.
Cheers

In the October issue of DirtWheels, on page 12, there is a picture of a fire fighting, modified Traxter from Austria. Dosen't look like they have a 55 gallon tank on it though. It has alot of hose and what might be a tank of foam. Maybee DirtWheels can get you in touch with them. I'm guessing your tank would weigh about 600lbs +. Thats alot of weight sloshing around back there.

Thanks guys for your comments. I saw that Austrian photo on the net and noticed they had their weight way too high for the steep area on which I need to operate. We need to load red Deer but they pull up with a carcase weight of about 200 lbs so shouldn't be any great problem there.
Cheers
