I have been doing a little tinkering with my DS baja and I was checking the chain, only problem is I am by myself.

So, according to the manual, if you lift the rear of the quad with no rider on the vehicle the chain should have 1 3/4 inch to 2 inch free play. Mine is right at about 1 3/4 of an inch.

I can't take the measurement with me on it, because I am by myself. So, is this ok, or should I get some one over here to check it with me on the bike. I would think it is ok, I have the suspension sag set as per the manual.

Thanks for any input.

IMO, I always try to get someone to adjust while I am sitting on mine. I think it works alot better with the actual rider on board while your friend adjusts your chain.
