I will put in my vote for sand mountain utah, but if it is out at sand mountain nevada, I will most likely be there.

I agree this is all unofficial, just a group of guys that met off the net getting together to ride and have fun.

No prizes, no sponsors and it should be fine.

I want to thank everyone who put in a lot of time and effort trying to make this happen. Don, Chris, Jeff and everyone else [you know who you are] it was a galant try but without a permit it is just to risky in my humble opinion.We should reorganize for another date or possibly move it to Utah . We can make this gathering even bigger and better if we really try.

I think the best option right now is to plan for next year at Sand Mountain, UT. As of right now though, I plan to be at Sand Mountain NV, and would love to see the rest of you as well, if you just happen to show up. Un-officially that is. The Labor Day weekend works out well though, so I would like to keep that. Nevada[Carson City] doesn't want anything on weekends that people actually have the time to travel during, so I guess we need to take it elsewere. I guess our[Nevada] BLM doesn't want us to disturb their 3 day weekend. I bet the store owners in Fallon would have prefered to have us.

 

Whats the weather link near Sand Mountain, UT around that time of year? Is it good riding weather? Maybe we're too late to start thinking about 2003 though, as slow as the government moves.

Hopefully they will have red plastic out by then so my DS will look like a honda in disguise. Also have a raptor that will be with us. "officer, we dont have any DS's, leave us alone" haha. Sean
