? kind of like to know what kind of gains are seen out of porting and polishing the head. and who has had good luck with who doing it? scooby who done your head work? was it local? woods is a little to expensive for me.

That would be great for dusty, i bet you would do a good job. being such the good mechanic you are.

Hurycne- that is my secret weapon to keep everybody behind me, free mechanic work. I hope nobody gets hurt when 2 gear explodes out of the case.lol

Done any dyno runs???

I can't recommend the shop that did my head work until I see how it performs.

Hey Roostin! where have you been? Glad to see you back, and it looks like your mod list has GROWN. When they said everythings BIGGER in Texas I think they ment EGO's[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]LOL. You guy's are going to BLOW-UP trying to knock each other off that top spot. I think this is the best porting avalible ....it gets were tools cant !! and it is more consistant than the human eye......

Extrude Honing is a great technological advancement, and definatly has it's place, but isn't exactly the hot ticket on this head. Because of the shape of the runners, and the fact that the valve guides intrude on them, extrude honing would be less effective than average port work.

Also, since the head is rather small when compaired to automotive applications, it's easy to see that tools can reach any place in these intake or exhaust tracts.

A good port man will have templates of the ideal port size and shape, that way he isn't going to have to rely on just his "eye" to get things consistant.
