I think I heard somwhere here in the forums that if you spin the carrier 180 degrees,you move the offset to the top.............thus giving you plenty of clearance..............True?

Yes, I your correct. The problem I ran into with installing the 17-37 is that the carrier has to be rotated forward, not aft, to achieve the proper chain adjustiment with this gearing. When doing so, the brake rotor contacted the PRM Skid Plate.
I tried rotating the carrier both ways, in fact, I added a link to the chain in order to get the brake rotor on top but it still would not adjust correctly. The chain ended up being too long.
