Width of the Bomb

After reading all the latest quad magazines I'm a little confused why they only slam the DS for being wide. The Cannondale is only 3 inches narrower.
I agree that it's wide and doesn't fit on all trails the best but I never have heard anyone slam the Cannondale for this. That's only and 1 1/2 on each side.
I don't mind the back being so wide. I do wish the front was a little narrower though. I got thrown off the monster because of the width problem and it hurt.

The extra width on the DS has saved my **** more times than I can count. Those times when your not in the right position when you land or get surprised by a off-camber,steep dune. Or when you come into a corner a little to hot, the quad just saves your azz even though you are WAY out of shape. I LOVE MY BIG<HEAVY<WIDE<FAST DS650!!!

Anyone knows that all stock quads aren't wide enough for MX, most widen their banshees and 250 r's to 50 inches well guys we're already there but we still have a height problem thats makes it like the rest, well except a narrow tippy raptor, so to make a DS wide enough to handle like a race quad we would have to go wider than stock which make it ultra stable.
Some problems I have are not being able to go wider in the rear becuase nobody makes a axle wider than stock, and wheel spacers bend axles if your a jumper so i'm out for that, and my front end is 52 inches wide now and seems to be ok, Bailey runs reversed rims in front along with plus 1 wider a arms making his 56 inches wide, just looks a little funny with a 50 inch rear.
So let the magazines say what they want, you never see them slamming the pros for having nice wide quads.
