Thor2..... most people run ten inch wheels, because they look better. If you jump or ride aggresive through sand whoops a ten inch wheel will bend a lot easier due to there being less sidewall to absorb the impact.

THAT just not true sand god the larger rims hold out as good as the smaller ones.
I took three trips in to yuma medical center this season and no trips to the rim straightening shop.ps my last trip out i hit so hard i blew all four tires off the rims and no problem!I had them re mounted and im good to go.[that is as soon as i got out of the hospitol]i don't belive they would do as good in the desert though.

Well since most people who run paddles are concerned w/ speed they go for the lighter package which is 10' wheels vs 8". I've seen more 10' bent then 8s. Of course the thickness of the wheel has to do w/ it also. A tire w/ more sidewall is going to absorb the hit better then and tire of less sidewall. LOL

I run 8" on my 350X, becasue I get a smoother ride due to the older suspension, even though it is a fully adjustable shock with comp/rebound adjustment..

Are you people using 22" tires having any clearance problems? When I called skat-trak they told me 22" wouldn't fit, because they would hit the plastic healguards.

I don't understand where all the clearance issues with the heelguards come from. Wouldn't 22" tires be 1" closer to the heelguards than 20"? Half the diameter = radius, right? If 20" tires are 2.5" from the guards, then won't 22" tires be 1.5" from the guards, or is there some screwy issue with tire sizing I'm not aware of?
I have seen tires on too narrow of a rim, which makes them bubble up and be larger in the center than they really are though.

I just wish somebody would make rear hubs that are 4 x 110 so I could run 8 inch wheels

I wonder if you could chuck up one of those hubs in a lathe and turn them down till they would clear, of course then you would have to have a set of 8" wheels custom drilled
