22" Holeshots on a stock geared BAJA?
#2
I sometimes run a 17 tooth with 20" tires, probably close to the stock 16 with the 22". Just depends on where I'm riding. There is a noticable difference between the two if tried on the same terrain, but it just depends on where and how you ride.
I suggest you ride for a while with the stock gearing, then try the 15 tooth if you feel like you need more down below. If you don't like it then go back, but don't base it all on drags - feel out how she performs on hill climbs, and various terrains. I like the taller gearing for some of the trails I ride, becasue I can stay in second more without going back and forth between it and third, but then it hurts me in the drag.

I haven't been to Haspin since early last winter. Sounds like the new set-up might be a hassle.
Badlands is way better 'cause you get every kind of terrain there is all in one place, and even if there is mud, its a sandy mud that doesn't cake like Haspin. Mostly sand everywhere, jumps and whoops, everything you want...$15, no night riding, no beer, helmets and flags required.
lawrence county - haven't been there, but friends have, said its pretty tame and mild, no major hills, but fun open woods trails. everybody likes taking their girlfriends and wives....
