For those of you who know on the 45mm carb should the accelerator pump be hooked up or not?

I had some good results at times(all out straight runs),but when dunning around it seemed hurt me more then with out,(run to rich)I would give it a thumbs down.

Hurycne... I was thinking of putting a pump on my 45, then a friend of mine (Sandsurfer) got a 45 w/ a pump. We rode for a few hours, changed jets (main, pilot, needle) several times and his DS still didn't run right. We removed the pump arm, sealed the hole, re-jetted and it ran perfect. So I agree with Jeff and give it a thumbs down.
