Hey Bat, go easy! I did come back on and say that it was probably due to bad timing that Dave and I couldn't find many people to race.
As far as the rest of the dunes go- they were awesome.
And in one of your other post you said you would take L. S. over Dumont anyday. Well to be honest I never said Dumont was BETTER. In fact if I lived closer I would go to Glamis more than Dumont.
One more thing, as far the helmet goes. It's mandatory at Dumont so I guess I'm used to always seeing people wearing them. Don't worry I'm all for freedom of choice too.

Vegas, I did not mean to come off too harsh. I was just saying that I thought you might not be giving little sahara a fair shake. You guys were not camped in the nicest spot, in my opinion.

Sorry if I came off a little harsh.

I really liked dumont. It was a lot of fun, but they dont offer much for the camper. I really like little sahara, because of the ammenities that are offered, like camping spots, trees, bathrooms, places to fill up with water and dump stations.

Anyway not trying to make this a dumont versus any place else thing. I will most likely go back to dumont when down in that part of the country. I will be going to glamis or some of the areas in the imperial sand dunes area this winter.

I think we all realize that you will never get everyone to wear a helmet unless you pass a law. And I think we all understand that it is not smart to ride without a helmet.

I dont know why there were not more people racing the hill. I know at dumont there were a lot of people just sitting at the bottom of the hill waiting to race. At little sahara you have some of that, but not as much.

Anyway, I hope sometime you decide to try it out again. It is a fun place and a large dune area with a lot to keep everyone busy. Which is nice, because even on a busy weekend the dunes are not that crowded.

Take care
Bat

Bat, of course I will go back again. My wife has already said she wants to park at Oasis if we go again. Me? I rather park at the hill!

I don't know how far Coral Pink is for you but I will be going there at least once this summer. Major, do I smell a race, or is that kinda far for you also?

Vegas, let me know when you are heading to coral pink and I will see if we can go. I want to make a trip there sometime this summer also. Not sure when though.

I would perfer to park over at the hill also, the back side of sand mtn is a great duning experience.

I have a full plate this summer, I want to hit st. anthony Idaho, coral pink utah, sand mtn nevada (ds days), and then this winter I want to make a trip to dumont and a trip to glamis sometime (maybe 4 stroke wars).

I need to find a jet plane to do all this traveling in.

Anyway, look forward to riding again.

I WEAR A HELMET BECAUSE EVERY TIME I GO OUT THERE IS A COMPLETE IDIOT IN CONTROL OF MY QUAD! You do the no's 22 riding trips.this season. In which 4 trips to yuma regonial medical center and 2 trips to cigna health systems. Is that not a poster child for helmets.three were head related accidents and one broken ds helmet. That why i had the bomber setup short the helmet. And guy's my daughter is okay she is a little fragile she has been riding since she was 4 years old and had never had an accident!thats a long time to wait for your frist lesson let's hope she don't take after the old man.Once again great group great times GOT TO DO IT AGAIN!!!!!

Hey sandgod I must say that the ride we went on had to be the most fun that I have had on a quad in a long time! I still can't believe that your brother can keep that speed throught the dunes and still be that smooth. I hope to be able to ride with you guy's again in the near future. Mike (the guy with the 400) also had a killer time on that ride.

As for riding SANDPIG all I can say is " I want one". Way different that a stock DS. I only rode it on the trail but that thing kicks some serious but!!
