Dual 39's on alcohol anybody?

Could it be, your running out of fuel on top?

Feel free to tell us how you converted them........

jeff,

i have done alot of changes to my DS lately. it could be that it is sucking the bowl dry. thats why i went to the 2 39's. so i will have more fuel ready for the motor. i might have to go to a fuel pump or add some booster jets. i told everyone at little sahara how to convert there 45mm to alcohol. this carbs are alittle different to do. i will play with them all weekend and when i find the prefect tune i will let everyone one know.

dsmike,
I have seen some guys put a tire valve stem in the gas cap,then pressurize the tank(not sure what presure in lbs.)but it would give them a couple of good runs before they had to add air again.....
Just a thought,to see if fuel delivery was the problem...

PS I also saw bigger bowls offered for the FCR 39 in a catolog,when I was ordering jets,but I am not sure if they would work in a dual configuration.

we found out what the problem was, the decompresser on lthe cam was hung. it ran good at little sahara Ok. for a day. it died and wouldn't start back up there and when we got it home it started and we went to the red river with randy and it ran like $hit. i think the offset timing key broke since we were running it with no decompressor. probably what happen to it at sahara.
