i got my ds a couple of weeks ago and just went on my second weekend ride. I noticed later in the day that i was dripping antifreeze from underneath the water pump. I thought it might be my radiatior hoses but found that there was a small hole underneath my pump. When i shut down my engine it would stop in about 5 minutes, but then continue as soon as i started up. I have no idea what the problem is. Can someone help me.

The water pump seals are leaking.

Should most likely replace the seals and shaft at the same time.

Others have done this recently, so maybe they can tell you more.

sevenac sounds like you need to replace the seals on the water pump. http://faq.f650.com/FAQs/Water_Pump_Seal_Repair_FAQ.htm

More than likely the shaft will be scored where it spins in the seals - replace it too. The seal are $4.95 each - you need two, and the shaft is $12.95 at the dealer. My got scored from sand introduced into the weaphole underneath - I put a tiny (4mm) hose barb here (drilled and tapped) and ran a clear hose from it to the rear, beside the carb drain hose. This will prevent future contamination.
