I was just trying some things out the other night. I took off all my discs and ran a open exhaust. It ran like a scalded cat. Is there a way to get that kind of power with the discs on there? How many discs are you guys running?

Just take the last disk out which is the spark arrester. I run mine this way and it makes a big difference.

When I need a spark arrestor I put discs on my CT. Same set up. I use 14 or 15.

DSaholic, you say you take the arrestor out? What good do the discs do then? Dont the exhaust still flow free and LOUD?

Yup. Lots more air flow and power. I had to go fron a 175 to a 185 jet just to not be real lean @ 4000 ft.

18 disks (4"dia. Supertrapps) on my Ron Wood pipe ran the same, with the same jetting, as an open end cap. White Bros. pipes only come with 12 if I remember correctly - get yourself 6 more and you'll run like the same scalded cat, and still be USFS approved with a spark arrestor. Take the last plate off the end and you'll just be running an open end, with the stack of disks serving no purpose.
You'll probably have to go up a jet, maybe 190.
